Passaic County Technical-Vocational Schools commemorated the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks with a special ceremony honoring the lives lost, the courage of first responders, and the lasting impact of a day that forever changed the nation.
As part of the observance, students heard from guest speaker Ariel Luna, co-founder of the NJ SOS Veterans Stakeholders Group and a U.S. Army veteran. Luna shared his personal reflections on September 11 and recounted his experiences surrounding that day, offering students a firsthand perspective on its significance and the profound effect it had on communities across the country.
His remarks provided students with an opportunity to connect the history of September 11 with the experiences of those who lived through it, while reflecting on the themes of service, sacrifice, resilience, and unity that emerged in its aftermath.
The ceremony also served as an important moment of remembrance for a generation of students who were born years after the attacks. Through personal testimony and reflection, PCTVS continues to ensure that the lessons and legacy of September 11 are preserved and shared with future generations.
As the nation marks 25 years since September 11, PCTVS joins communities across the country in remembering the victims, honoring the heroes, and recognizing all those whose lives were forever changed by the events of that day.
