Tajwar Ornob is an excellent student in PCTI’s Information Technology – Computer Science program. Inspired by his early interest in gaming, Tajwar shared that his curiosity grew into a desire to understand how games are built leading him to computer science as the right path. His commitment to both learning and growth is reflected in his impressive 4.3 GPA.

Tajwar described being named January Student of the Month as a proud and rewarding moment. “To be named Student of the Month feels really honoring to me, and I’m genuinely happy that I got it,” he said.

In addition to his coursework, Tajwar is actively engaged in several organizations connected to innovation and applied learning. He participates in Robotics Club, and NASA HUNCH. Much of his time after school is spent in these programs particularly VEX Robotics and FBLA where he also supports the work of the computer science department.

Looking ahead, Tajwar plans to pursue a career in cybersecurity. After high school, he hopes to become a cybersecurity specialist, earn a master’s degree and potentially a PhD in cybersecurity, and work at a major technology firm.

When offering advice to incoming freshmen and classmates, Tajwar emphasized the importance of curiosity and speaking up in the learning process: “Ask questions, no matter what. Even if you think it sounds ‘dumb,’ asking questions is one of the best things you can do.”

Reflecting on his experience at PCTI, Tajwar shared that the program has helped him build skills that will carry forward into college and beyond. He noted that his CTE challenged him in new ways and strengthened his technical abilities, adding that it helped him realize computer science requires persistence and discipline. Through that process, he has gained real coding and programming skills and feels better prepared for future academic and professional challenges.

Congratulations, Tajwar! Your consistent effort and commitment to learning have earned this recognition.
