Ashaly Dominguez, a student in the Academy of Criminal Justice, is making waves this season as a member of PCTI’s Swimming team.
Ashaly’s primary event this year is the 100 freestyle—though she says her original best event is the 100 butterfly. Outside of the school season, she stays in the pool through club swimming with the Boys and Girls Club swim team.
When she’s not competing, Ashaly keeps a demanding routine. She balances academics with double swim practices, then heads home to knock out homework and studying before taking time to reset.
Ashaly is optimistic about what’s ahead: “Our team is very strong this year, and I believe we have a high chance of possibly winning states. I’m excited to see how far we can go together this season.”
She also gave a special shoutout to her mom, calling her “my number one fan.”
After graduation, Ashaly plans to attend college—she’s already been accepted to eight schools—and hopes to go out of state while continuing to swim at the collegiate level.
Congratulations, Ashaly!

Oliver Kiss, a senior in the Academy of Finance, is helping set the pace this season as a member of PCTI’s Swimming team.
Oliver competes in breaststroke and the individual medley, bringing a versatile skill set to the lineup. Outside of the school season, he stays locked in year-round—swimming with Scarlet Aquatics and continuing to sharpen his performance in the pool.
When he’s off the deck, Oliver keeps busy in a totally different lane. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and fishing, a solid balance to the intensity of training.
Even though the season is still early, Oliver already has a clear goal in mind: “Our season is just getting started, but I’m confident it’s going to end with us qualifying for the sectional championship.”
He also made sure to recognize the people behind the scenes: “I’d like to give a shoutout to Coach Aaronson for giving me this opportunity, and to my family and friends for always supporting me.”
After graduation, Oliver plans to attend Bryant University—and he’s excited for what’s next.
Congratulations, Oliver!
