The PCTI STEM Team’s victory at the 3rd Annual BD STEM Challenge highlights the exceptional talent and dedication of our students. Team Fortune Cookie, consisting of Cecillia Aquino, Camille Swallow, Miya Pingol, Jillian Troiano, Wylan De Guzman, and Ryu Valle Barrales, earned first place and each received a $1,500 scholarship for their outstanding performance. The event, held at BD’s global headquarters, showcased the skills of PCTI students, including biotechnology sophomores who participated as the youngest competitors. These students delivered a poised and well-researched debate on artificial intelligence in healthcare, impressing the judges with their expertise and professionalism. Both teams demonstrated the high level of excellence fostered by PCTI’s STEM Academy. This victory not only underscores the students’ hard work but also highlights the school’s commitment to nurturing innovation and academic achievement in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
