Congratulations to our Athlete of the Month, Melvin Genao!
Melvin, a senior in the Engineering program at PCTI STEM, has been a key contributor on the baseball field as a shortstop. One of his favorite memories from this season was the team's exciting county quarterfinal victory over Passaic Valley, where they rallied from behind in the sixth inning to secure the win. Outside of baseball, Melvin enjoys watching movies, spending time with friends, and playing basketball recreationally.
After graduation, Melvin will attend Dominican University New York, where he plans to major in Finance while continuing his baseball career. He would like to thank his parents, teammates, and coaches for their belief in him, their support, and for being there every step of the way. Congratulations, Melvin!
Congratulations to our Athlete of the Month, Skylar Glisson!
Skylar, a senior in the PCTI School of Business studying Global Management, has been a standout varsity softball pitcher this season. Beyond the field, she is involved in FBLA and Student Council and volunteers with Paterson Team Mode, helping support members of the local community. Her favorite memory from the season was picture day, where she enjoyed seeing the younger players experience the same excitement she remembered feeling as a freshman.
After graduation, Skylar plans to attend Delaware State University, where she will major in Business Management and hopes to continue playing softball. She would like to thank her friends, family, and support system for their encouragement throughout her journey, with a special thank you to her big sister, who has always been her greatest inspiration. Congratulations, Skylar!
