Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI) SkillsUSA students set a new school record at the New Jersey SkillsUSA State Championships, earning an outstanding 68 total medals across multiple Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
The record-breaking performance includes 24 first-place finishes, 17 second-place honors, and 27 third-place awards, an achievement that speaks to both the depth of talent and the consistency of excellence across PCTI’s programs.
Students earned recognition in a wide range of disciplines, including Education and Human Services, Communication Arts, Criminal Justice, Cosmetology and Barbering, Information Technology, Health and Medical Sciences, Culinary Arts, Construction Technology, Business Careers, Automotive Technology, Applied Engineering, Biotechnology, and Finance.
Competing against top students from across New Jersey, PCTI’s SkillsUSA participants demonstrated technical expertise, professionalism, and a strong commitment to their craft. The results highlight the strength of hands-on learning across the district, and the preparation students receive for real-world careers.
This milestone not only sets a new standard for the school but continues to elevate the impact and value of Career and Technical Education.
