Engineering Club

The main purpose of Engineering Club is to allow students to explore different aspects of different types of engineering by competing in local, state, and national competitions. Students will also be given an opportunity to shadow an Engineer in particular fields to explore more of what it’s like in the life of an Engineer. Also, give an opportunity to have fun working and learn Python programming and robotics. To encourage and enable students to utilize and enrich their creativity, engineering, and programming skills through robotics; to enrich technical skills, teamwork, and leadership in them.

Activities

Engineering club will participate in various engineering related competitions throughout the year such as VEX Robotics, Local Colleges & Universities, and Samsung Challenge. Also, the club uses Edison Edpy robots. During club meetings, the students will learn to use the components of the kits to build robots and learn to program their robots using text-based programming software. This club empowers students not just to become coders, but as inventors, problem solvers and creative thinkers.

Schedule

The club will meet biweekly after school and the dates are attached. We will hold monthly after school meetings and smaller meetings as needed in advisor office/classroom.
