Students select from 2 career paths, either Computer Science or Computer Repair. Computer Science teaches students Web Design, The Oracle Academy, and the latest application programs. Students interested in Computer Repair gain proficiency with A+ certification, Cisco (levels I& II), and related studies. To maintain a commanding position in the field of technology, the Academy’s curriculum is in a constant state of growth and revision. Our students are always on the forefront of technology.

Dedicated Faculty of Professionals
All Academy instructors are certified by Cisco, CompTIA, A+, the Oracle Academy or Microsoft in their respective areas. Several serve as adjunct professors at prestigious institutions such as NJIT, Stevens Institute, William Paterson University and Passaic County Community College. Curriculum is constantly upgraded to meet the industry trends.

“College Connection Program” Earning College Credits in High School
Want to earn college credits before graduating high school? At PCTI you have the opportunity to do just that! Nearly 2 dozen college courses . . . some specific to career majors and others open to all PCTI students . . . are offered in affiliations with area colleges and universities! New and challenging college courses are integrated into coursework yearly.

College Affiliates
Some of PCTI’s higher education affiliates are: William Paterson University, Seton Hall University, Drexel University, UMDNJ (University of Medicine & Dentistry New Jersey), Berkeley College, Passaic County Community College, NJIT (New Jersey Institute of Technology), Rochester Institute of Technology, FDU and Hudson County Community College. Courses range from Japanese to Computer Science . . . Anatomy & Physiology to Chemistry. . . and Organizational Management to Calculus, to name a few.

The Academy prepares students for the most marketable certifications in the Information Technology field. The opportunity for certification extends the academic and career ranges of the AOIT students. CompTIA’s A+ and Network +, Cisco’s CCNA, and many Microsoft Certifications result in immediate recognition and significant earning power.

School-to-Careers Experience
PCTI maintains a very strong and supportive School-to-Careers program, offering 9th, 10th and 11th graders the opportunity to “job shadow,” and 11th & 12th graders the chance to put their skills to work at a paid position in the workplace. Hundreds of students participate and hundreds of business leaders support our efforts by employing our students.
