PCTVS Names Jody Lazarski Educator of the Year and Tenaya Bascomb Educational Specialist of the Year!

Passaic County Technical-Vocational Schools (PCTVS) has declared Jody Lazarski as its Educator of the Year and Tenaya Bascomb as its Educational Specialist of the Year! Both individuals have demonstrated outstanding passion and commitment to the PCTVS community and have excelled in their respective areas of expertise.

Mrs. Lazarski is an instructor in PCTI’s School of Communication Arts/Video Production who has been a part of the PCTI family since 2015. In her role, she teaches all aspects of video production and assists students in achieving noteworthy awards in various film festivals across New Jersey. As such, she has been instrumental in helping students achieve recognition at both the local and state levels. Mrs. Lazarski holds a M.A. in Educational Technology from Boise State University and a B.A. in Communications with a concentration in Broadcasting and Minor in Journalism from Montclair State University.

A proud Bulldog alumnus, Mrs. Bascomb is currently a Grade Level Coordinator at PCTI, a role she has proudly held for the past 11 years. In addition, she has served as a class advisor, choir director, advisor for the African American Assembly programs, and co-founded “PCTI’s Got Talent” annual event. Her involvement and dedication to PCTI has profoundly impacted her students, who are continuously eager to receive Mrs. Bascomb’s valuable advice and guidance. Mrs. Bascomb holds a B.A. in Labor Studies and Africana Studies from Rutgers University as well as a M.A. in Administration Supervision/Education and Training from Montclair State University.
