PCTVS Holds Successful Holiday Toy Drive for Underprivileged Children in our Local Area

To brighten the holidays for deserving children in our local area, Passaic County Technical-Vocational Schools (PCTVS) participated in a Toy Drive from December 2nd through December 14th. At the conclusion of the Toy Drive, students and faculty from Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI) and the STEM Academy donated a total of 1,007 toys! All toys will go to children from the ages of 6 months to 17 years old at the Catholic Family and Community Services in Paterson.

To encourage participation, toy drive participants were entered to win a daily giveaway prize. Additionally, a friendly competition between underclassmen and upperclassmen yielded a victory for the upperclassmen, who will enjoy a Spirit Day treat!

For the first time ever, PCTVS also had a faculty giving tree in which faculty members could take a gift tag that was placed on the tree and purchase one of the gifts listed on it. Through this initiative, 30 gifts were donated, contributing to the overall total of 1,007 items.

“Thank you to all students and faculty members for their incredible generosity and participation in the Toy Drive,” said Diana C. Lobosco, Chief School Administrator of PCTVS. “Through your kindness and support, we were able to help spread cheer to children in need during this holiday season.”
