PCTI Jazz Band Advances to NJAJE State Finals!

Congratulations to the Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI) Jazz Band for their selection as a State Finalist of the New Jersey Association of Jazz Education (NJAJE) State High School Jazz Festival!

At the preliminary round of the State High School Jazz Festival sponsored by NJAJE, the PCTI Jazz Band earned the Best Rhythm Section award for their outstanding performance. Additionally, Gabriela Hernandez, Noelia Figuereo, and Andres Guerra received an honorable mention in the competition as well.

Only the top nine bands from across the state were chosen as NJAJE State Finalists by a panel of esteemed judges. In recognition of their accomplishments, the PCTI Jazz Band will progress to the final rounds of competition and compete against some of the best high school jazz bands from across New Jersey.
