PCTI Communication Arts Student Wins Seven Prestigious Awards in the Montclair Art Museum Scholastic Art Competition!

Renee Angello, a senior in Passaic County Technical Institute's (PCTI) School of Communication Arts/Advertising Art and Design program, has won seven prestigious Gold Key and Silver Key awards in The Montclair Art Museum’s 2020 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards competition! To celebrate her incredible achievements, Renee was honored at the 2020 Scholastic Art Awards: Northern New Jersey Region Awards Ceremony & Opening Reception on February 27th.

Renee’s artwork that won Gold Key awards will now move on to the national competition, and one piece will also be exhibited at the Montclair Art Museum’s Scholastic Art Award exhibition from February to March. Renee received an honorable mention among the top portfolios, and her work was recognized as part of the top 30% of the most outstanding work submitted among her peers. Renee’s art competed with 3,570 works of art which were submitted by more than 1,300 student artists from across northern New Jersey.
