PCTI's Thanya Begum Bound for Princeton!

Senior at Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI), Thanya Begum, has been recognized as a National QuestBridge Scholar and will be attending Princeton University on a full scholarship! She was one of 16,000 applicants from across the country to be considered for the QuestBridge Scholar Program.

The powerful platform connects bright youths with leading institutions of higher educations. Participants must rank in the top ten percent of their class, take challenging courses and receive primarily A’s, and achieve higher than a 1310 on SAT/PSAT, as well as an ACT composite score of 28.

Thanya Begum is the sole senior from Passaic County Technical Institute to receive the outstanding honor this year. She currently ranks in the top one percent of her class with a GPA of 4.55 and has the potential to graduate with an astonishing thirty-nine college credits! Thanya has also been recognized as a Commended Scholar and an AP Scholar with Honor. She will study Mechanical/Software Engineering at Princeton University to further her understanding of coding and robotics.
