PCTI ProStart Students are State Champions!

Passaic County Technical Institute’s (PCTI) Culinary team has been named ProStart State Champions and earned the distinct opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. for the 18 th Annual National ProStart Invitational. Their first place winning streak has been going strong for the past thirteen years.

Teammates Aden Lewin, Kyla O'Meara, Mya Organisciak, Morgan Vanak, and Justin Rasmussen-Ellen will represent New Jersey and put their skills to the test by preparing gourmet food in a time-crunch setting. Menu items have been meticulously perfected over the past few months and include seared foie gras, pan roasted lamb, and ginger mousse.

The high school’s Management team also brought home the silver award at the ProStart State Competition. In addition, Aden Lewin of the Culinary team and Juan Murrugarra of the Management team were selected as thesole MVPs of the entire ProStart State Competition!
