LPN student Darkis Gumbs Paniagua served as the Master of Ceremonies while Deborah Douglas-Wright presented the Invocation. Fellow graduates Amy Adkins and Dawn Gough were selected to deliver Commencement Addresses; both congratulated their classmates, thanked the staff for their guidance and support, and spoke of commitment to their rigorous studies.
The Passaic County Technical Institute’s Education Foundation also presented students with special scholarships: Amy Adkins and Dawn Gough received the Academic Excellence scholarships, while Jonamay Lewis and Hilda Serrano received the Clinical Excellence scholarships. Furthermore, Dennisha Scott and Maria Ascuas received the Highest Exit Exam Score scholarships. In addition, PCTI’s Education Foundation held a special giveaway in which LPN graduates Lauren Barroso and Medjina Augustin won iPads to support continued academic success. Congratulations to all award recipients!
To support the graduating class, friends, family and faculty attended the celebratory event. LPN Coordinator Noreen Frodella (RN, BSN) and fellow instructors presented graduates with pins and diplomas. Additionally, students showed their gratitude for retiring LPN instructor Sharyn Boyle, M.S.N., R.N., B.C.
“The graduates of the LPN program have successfully demonstrated their steadfast dedication and commitment to their studies,” said Diana C. Lobosco, Chief School Administrator. “We are incredibly proud of the graduates and encourage them to continue their passion for learning and helping others as they transition into the professional world.”
