Manufacturing Students Make School History with NIMS Credential

Passaic County Technical Institute’s (PCTI) Manufacturing Technology students made school history when they received their first NIMS credential for Materials, Measurement, and Safety. The industry recognized credential is utilized by employers to identify useful workplace skills. In turn, NIMS (the National Institute for Metalworking Skills) sets industry standards and certifies a skilled workforce for the global economy.

The accomplishment ensures that sixteen of PCTI’s Manufacturing Technology freshmen are one step closer towards applying knowledge learned through career and technical education.

PCTI Instructors Andrew Rusin (Hasbrouck Heights) and Bob Eckrote (Little Falls) celebrate their students Rozin Abdat (Paterson), Dante Diaz (Paterson), Jose Escobar Jr. (Passaic), David Fana (Paterson), Nicholas Graziano (Clifton), Joel Heredia (Paterson), Damon Lopez (Paterson), Gregory Mendoza (Paterson), Janilynne Mercedes (Paterson), Matthew Minunni (Ringwood), Malik Muheisen (Clifton), Yajuan Rodriguez (Paterson), Ian Spoelstra (Hewitt), John Tellez (Passaic), Jeffrey Tepale (Passaic), and Luke Tully (Wanaque) receiving the NIMS credential for Materials Measurement, and Safety.
