PCTI Students Recognized at International SeaPerch Challenge

Two students from Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI) made headlines with their participation in the International SeaPerch Challenge. Juniors Christopher Ocasio and Eugene Osetskyy competed as team Projekt942 and were tasked with navigating their robot through a series of in-pool obstacles. Both Eugene and Christopher ended up ranked among the top fifty teams. In total, more than one-hundred and sixty teams participated.

Additionally, all in attendance were tasked with completing the surprise STEM challenge of drafting and building a bridge out of toothpicks and glue. Christopher and Eugene ultimately earned third place for their outstanding efforts!

The SeaPerch Underwater Robotics Program encourages students to build remotely operated vehicles and is sponsored by RoboNation and the US Navy Office of Naval Research.
