Wayne, NJ – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – “Double E” Dental Drive started as a dream of Eleny Pereyra and Emily Duval of Clifton, both Academy of Medical Arts sophomores at Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI). With a little ingenuity and a whole lot of help from fellow classmates, as well as the entire PCTI family, the drive raised enough funds to create one thousand dental kits, which were donated to orphans in the Dominican Republic.
The drive’s title is coy reference to Eleny and Emily’s names. They even came up with a slogan to champion the program; we put the double E in teeth!
PCTI’s dental drive didn’t end with the collection of donated goods. Eleny and her family personally traveled to the Dominican Republic deliver the hand-assembled kits to numerous orphanages.
The “Double E” Dental drive strives to inform and educate children on the importance of hygiene and to distribute donated goods throughout the world. In the future, Eleny and Emily hope to grow their initiative and have a much greater impact.
