PCTI HOSA Students Take Home 38 State Medals!

Academy of Medical Arts students of Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI) tested their knowledge and skill when they competed in the 2017 HOSA State Leadership Conference held at Union County Vocational High School in Scotch Plains, New Jersey on March 18th and 19th. The statewide event challenged all in attendance to apply what they’ve learned about quality healthcare through a series of competitive events. In total, thirty-eight PCTI students earned medals, ranging from first to fifth place.

Those who received gold, silver, or bronze medals in their respective events meet National HOSA’s criteria to compete in the International Conference in Orlando, Florida. Twenty-four PCTI winners have achieved this outstanding honor.

In addition, Raquel Cabrera, Mahjabeen Siddiqi, Azarhia Johnson, and Gabriela Juniewicz were awarded with NJ HOSA Scholarships.

Congratulations to all on a job well done!
