Tuesday, June 19
  • On Tuesday June 19, the athletic department will be celebrating the 2017-2018 school year with our senior athletic awards night. We will be formally honoring a number of student-athletes with acknowledgement and awards but the event is designed for ALL SENIOR Student-athletes and their families. The award ceremony will start at 6:30pm in the Auditorium, that’s 6:30pm sharp, with the 2017-2018 athletic department movie (be sure to be there to see if you made the cut!) The night will conclude with food and refreshments and photo opportunities in the Main Gym. There is no charge and tickets are not required for the event, just come out and enjoy an evening honoring our amazing student-athletes and all their athletic accomplishments.
  • Reminder to all 9th, 10th and 11th grade students. Final Exams begin tomorrow. Upon entering the building, please report to your first period class. After attendance is taken and morning announcement are complete, you will then proceed to your assigned test rooms. Student test room assignments can be found on the Student Site along with the exam schedule. Make sure to bring your fully charged chrome book and any pencil or scratch paper you may need. Replacement chrome books will not be available.
  • All Boys Soccer players: see a coach ASAP to pick up your summer workout packet. Make sure you do so before the end of the week.

  • Congratulations to senior, Jazmary Zuniga, in Mrs. Islambouli's Class,for winning first prize in the International Poster Arabic Contest organized by the Global Learning Program. She won a significant cash prize and her work will be shown on many educational websites. We are proud of her bringing our school into the limelight.
Thursday, June 14

Wednesday, June 13
  • The Performing Arts Club will be holding auditions on Tuesday June 12th for the Fall One-Act Festival directed by the senior theatre students in October. Call Backs will be Wednesday, June 13th. All students are encouraged to audition if you have an interest in acting. See Mr. Smith for information.

  • Sign Language Club members who signed up to sign for graduation the 3 videos have been posted on Google Classroom, practice practice practice. The 22nd Sign Club members who are signing for graduation should plan to stay after school and practice, bring a change of clothes and FLAT SHOES only are allowed on the field no heels of any kind are allowed. Bring $ as we will order food. See Mrs. Martin in C02 with questions.
  • On Tuesday, June 11th, The Tri-M Music Honor Society had their Induction Ceremony and Recital. It was a great night of music. Special Thanks to Supervisor Mrs. Holman, Instructor Mr. Mendez. To the graduating Seniors, I wish you all the best! Keep Music Alive!
Tuesday, June 12
  • The Performing Arts Club will be holding auditions on Tuesday June 12th for the Fall One-Act Festival directed by the senior theatre students in October. Call Backs will be Wednesday, June 13th. Student-Athletes and their guests must have a ticket to attend, tickets can be picked up at any time form Mrs. Robinson or Mr. Nese in the Athletic Office in the Athletic Center. Tickets will not be sold at the door on the day of the event, please be sure to take care of this as soon as possible.

For more information see Mr. Smith. Seating is limited and is on a first come-first served basis.

  • All cosmetology senior students must report to their shop before the start of homeroom. Students will be given a pass to report period 1.
  • Congratulations to senior Center Fielder Arbert Cipion on being selected in the 9th round of the Major League baseball draft by the Milwaukee Brewers. Arbert is the first player from PCTI to ever to be drafted by a major league team right out of high school. All your hard work paid off and we wish him all the best of luck!

  • Congratulations to our Boys 4 by 100 relay team for breaking the school record this past weekend with a time of 43.6 seconds. The team consisted of Neimar Santhouse, Edmond Jones, Shaheem Maple, and Shamar Taylor. Great job guys!
  • PCTI Engineering Club and NJROTC are happy to report that for the first time ever, PCTI underwater robotics team Projekt 942 had competed at the International level in SeaPerch this past weekend. The team came in the top 50 out of 169 teams from 5 countries in the pool events and 3rd in the surprise STEM challenge. Good job Eugene Osetskyy and Christopher Ocasio!

  • Congratulations Leilanie Hinton and Ashley Martinez for both taking 2nd place in their events at the NJSIAA Group meet! Leilanie jumped 36-11.50 feet in the triple jump and Ashley jumped 5-04 in the high jump! Good luck girls as you advance to the Meet of Champions!

  • Congratulations Nancy Habib and Genesis Fernandez for breaking school records at the State Sectional meet! Nancy broke the 2 mile record by 11.56 seconds with a time of 11 minutes and 31.56 seconds. Genesis crushed the record for the Discus by 14 feet and 1 inch with a throw of 114 feet and 1 inch! Great job girls and good luck as you advance to the NJSIAA Group meet!
  • Congratulations to the PCTI Jazz Band! Yesterday the PCTI Jazz Band performed at the New Jersey State Teen Arts Festival, which was held at Ocean County College. The professional adjudicator’s that were at the festival commended the Jazz Band for their professionalism and for their high levels of musicianship. The PCTI Jazz Band was the only large ensemble from the County of Passaic that was selected to perform at yesterday’s Teen Arts Festival. Kudos to the PCTI Jazz Band for their outstanding achievements.
