Shayne Coley and Hallee Balevski



Congratulations to Shayne Coley and Hallee Balevski, PCTI’s March Athletes of the Month!




Shayne Coley is a third-year varsity starter and a 2017 captain who:

As a senior, has been a tremendous leader for both the Boys Winter and Spring Track teams. During the winter season, Shayne excelled in at the indoor hurdles and the jumping field events. His leap in the Triple Jump field event, a distance of 45’ 11.5”, was a personal best and a new PCTI Indoor school record. In the spring, Shayne has been dominant in the 110 High Hurdles. He is currently undefeated in head-to-head competition and has captured first place in each of the team’s dual meet matches with a personal best time of 14.8 seconds. In addition to the triple jump and high hurdles, Shayne is a regular top finisher in the 200 meter race (23.2 seconds), the 400 meter intermediate hurdles (58.0 seconds), and is knocking on the door of 20-foot mark in the long jump with a personal best of 19’8”. Under Shayne’s leadership and athletic prowess, the Boys spring track team is 5-0. They captured first place overall in the PCCA County Relays, are looking to be repeat BNC Liberty divisional champions, and are strong contenders as overall County Champions.


Hallee Balevski is a three-year varsity starter and a 2017 senior captain who:

As one of the influential seniors, she helped lead the Lady Bulldogs’ Lacrosse team through their first year in the NJIGLL (Northern Jersey Interscholastic Lacrosse League). Hallee currently leads the girls’ team in many statistical categories with 13 goals, 13 ground balls, and 10 draw controls. In addition to her accolades on field, Hallee also excels in the classroom. She is an exemplary student of the PCTI Medical Arts program with a GPA of 4.238 and is currently ranked 22nd overall in the class of 2017. As a stand-out two sport athlete (Girls Volleyball-Fall and Girls Lacrosse-Spring) with tremendous academic accomplishments, Hallee has been recognized as the PCTI nomination for the NJSIAA Scholar-Athlete of the year. She will be honored at the NJSIAA 24th Annual Scholar-Athlete Awards luncheon on Sunday May 21, 2017 where she will eligible to receive a scholarship sponsored by our state athletic association.
