Morgann Duncan is a dedicated young woman of the Academy of Criminal Justice/Public Safety, who has tested the waters of law enforcement, CSI, and forensics. It was throughout the experience of her entire high school career that Morgann discovered her true passion for helping others. This bright Bulldog plans on combining her love of athletics with her altruistic ways to ultimately become a Physical Therapist.
Morgann is currently focusing on making the most of her time at PCTI. She is an avid runner for Cross Country and Girls Track. Though not competitive by nature, Morgann mentions that she finds freedom in embracing her athletic side. “When racing, my mind goes blank and I gain all this personal space,” she said. Her involvement and familiarity in the sports arena will allow Morgann to foster a healthy relationship with patients in her future career.
Success is just on the horizon. Morgann has earned a 4.05 GPA and currently ranks in the top seven percent of her class. She has taken numerous honors courses and has achieved Principal’s Honor Roll on various occasions. Her academic fortitude has ensured she will graduate from PCTI with twelve college credits.
It is Morgann’s desire to inspire others that permeates throughout all areas of her life. Outside of school, she works at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson where she gains experience in the healthcare setting. In the past, Morgann has volunteered as both a Junior Camp Counselor for her church and at the soup kitchen. She has also provided support at PCTI’s PCRC Winter 5k Walk/Run.
“I really enjoy encouraging people to achieve success,” Morgann said. Her optimism and caring nature will play a large role in all her future achievements and endeavors.
After leaving PCTI, Morgann looks forward to furthering her education by graduating from an accredited university with a minor in Spanish, eventually receiving a degree as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). Her ultimate dream is to cultivate strong relationships with patients and to work with and heal recovering athletes.
When asked about the advice she has for her fellow Bulldogs, Morgann had this to say, “Enjoy all four years and don’t rush anything. Take advantage of every opportunity.”
