How do I install the TechLife Alexa skill?
Click here and log into Amazon with the account with which your Alexa-enabled devices are registered. Then, click Enable. Your Alexa-enabled devices should now be able to use the TechLife Alexa skill.
How do I use the TechLife Alexa skill?
Once you have enabled the TechLife Alexa skill, ask Alexa to open the skill:
“Alexa, open TechLife.”
Then, try asking Alexa some of the following prompts:
“Alexa, what's today's schedule?”
“Alexa, give me the schedule for tomorrow.”
Alexa will tell you the requested Home/Virtual Day Instruction schedule.
“Alexa, what’s going on today?”
“Alexa, what happening tomorrow?”
“Alexa, tell me what events are on May 1st.”
Alexa will tell you what events are scheduled for a certain day.
“Alexa, when’s the next Spirit Day?”
“Alexa, when’s the next day off?”
Alexa will look for the next date for a particular event.
“Alexa, what’s new in Athletics?”
“Alexa, how’s the Ice Hockey team doing?”
Alexa will give you the latest scores from Bulldog Athletics.
“Alexa, read the daily announcements.”
Alexa will read today’s morning announcements.
“Alexa, what does Spike say?”
Alexa shares a tidbit of Spike’s infinite wisdom.
You can also open TechLife and prompt Alexa with a single phrase by using “ask TechLife”:
“Alexa, ask TechLife when the next Spirit Day is.”
“Alexa, ask TechLife for the announcements.”
“Alexa, ask TechLife for sports news.”
