Lavatory - Corridor Assignment Guidelines
To
better supervise the corridors and curtail the unnecessary use of our lavatories
including a control to reduce vandalism, teachers are assigned to monitor the
lavatories and adjacent corridors. As
part of this assignment, teachers are required to perform the following duties:
|
|
The assignment includes the monitoring of either a boys or girls lavatory and the visible corridor area in the vicinity of the assigned lavatory. |
|
|
Teachers are expected to visually inspect the assigned lavatory periodically. |
|
|
Teachers
are to monitor all visible areas of the corridor continuously throughout
the period. Students without
an official pass are to be returned to their scheduled classes
immediately by the monitoring teacher. |
|
|
Very
Important
- Each teacher assigned to lavatory/corridor duty is to report to their
destination as quickly as possible so that the previous teacher may be
properly relieved. For this procedure to work properly, the teacher should
wait a moment or two before the relief teacher arrives.
Students should not be frequenting lavatories between periods. This
causes lateness to class and shop. |
|
|
Teachers
may not do school related work while on duty.
Obviously reading a newspaper or
other non-related teaching materials is not permitted. |
