Damani Van Rensalier, junior of the School of Performing Arts Dance, has received honorable mention for her submission to the 2014 NDEO (National Dance Education Organization) for the Artistic Merit, Leadership, and Academic Achievement Award!

Chantelle Smith of the School of Cosmetology has signed with Coffeyville College in Kansas to continue her budding basketball career!

PCTI senior, Nicole Romero, has become known as a celebrated filmmaker since her wins at the Passaic County Film Festival. Nicole walked away with five awards, including the grand prize!

Student Declared America’s Best High School Pastry Chef
PCTI’s very own Yudelka Torres of the School of Culinary Arts competed against numerous high school students at Monroe College in New Rochelle, NY for the coveted title of America’s Best High School Pastry Chef.


Teacher of the Year for 2014-2015
PCTI has declared the Teacher of the Year for 2014-2015. The honor goes to seventeen year Social Studies Instructor, Jay Rosenfeld!

PCTI Imparts Value of “Dress for Success”
The administration of Passaic County Technical Institute is developing a program that prepares Business students for the working world. “Dress for Success” organized by instructors Marie Easton and Richard Glueck, stresses the importance of proper attire for industry employment.

Breakfast With Sanata
FBLA members and Child Development students of Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI) spread goodwill and cheer when they participated in the community service project “Breakfast with Santa.”


Senior Signs with NCCU!
Passaic County Technical Institute’s resident basketball star, Kierona Morton, has signed with North Carolina Central University (NCCU)! She will pursue an outstanding athletic career after graduation.


November Student of the Month
Christian Velez-Vargas is an ambitious young man who has dedicated his life to helping others.

Both Culinary ProStart student teams (Culinary & Management) took home the gold at the 2014 State Championship Pro Start Competition. They will compete in the national competition in May.


Student Council/Interact collected 2100 pounds of food at their annual food drive.


PCTI’s acapella group, Sound Chasers, was one of six groups selected to perform for a News 12 broadcast.

Alumni Return to Educate Classmates
Advertising Art & Design Alumni Priscilla Romero (Class of 2006), and Kevin Manthi (Class of 2010) returned to Bulldog Country to tell seniors about their journey through Montclair State University’s Industrial Design Program.


Congratulations to the 30 new inductees of PCTI’s chapter of the National Honors Society!


October Student of the Month
Paterson resident, Regina Jackson, has mastered the fine art of balance. Between life, school, and volunteerism, this member of the School of Education and Human Services is set on becoming a Pre-School teacher and she’ll do everything possible to achieve her dream.


September Student of the Month
Clifton local, Juliana Irizarry, is a determined young woman whose passion for self-betterment has her pushing her educational limits!


Senior Thomas Jefferson was declared the Athlete of the Week by the Record newspaper.


Instructor Marissa Burghardt received the State House Express Award, a grant for $350 which allows students to visit and tour the State House in Trenton.

Bulldog Awarded Todd Eaton Scholarship
PCTI’s very own Fralvin Munoz was chosen by the American Legion Jersey Boys State (ALJBS) as the recipient of the much acclaimed $1,000 Todd Eaton Scholarship Award.
